As a group we have many different responsibilities – from helping people live independently and healthily, through to collecting rents, repairing homes and tackling social issues. So we employ a broad range of people with different skills and experience.

In all our work, we have a very strong focus on delivering a high quality customer service. Here’s a quick introduction to the type of work on offer, and they type of people we look for:

Administration Like any organisation, we need people to help us keep on top of paperwork, and look for well-organised and reliable individuals with a background in clerical work or administration.

Customer service We are a customer facing organisation, and offer a high quality ‘phone service for tenants, leaseholders and other customers (including through Careline, our 24 hour support line for vulnerable people). We look for friendly, professional and helpful people who are comfortable on the ‘phone, and who are willing to work some antisocial hours when necessary.

Tradespeople. We look after over 5000 houses across Herefordshire, and always need crafts people to help maintain our properties and grounds. We typically look for electricians, plumbers, carpenters, bricklayers, painters, grounds workers and general ‘handy’ people. As we work in our customers’ homes, we also look for friendly and approachable individuals who treat others with respect.

Housing professionals. We are a successful Housing Association with a growing reputation. We are looking for dedicated professionals who can support us in our drive towards excellence. 

Finance. We have a large finance team covering everything from payroll and rent collection to dealing with suppliers and purchasing issues. We prefer people with relevant finance experience.

Corporate Services. Like any large organisation, we need people with skills in HR, IT, Business Development… to name just a few areas.

Apprenticeships. We offer a range of schemes covering trades (such as plumbing and electrical) as well as customer service and administration For more information about becoming an Apprentice click here.

Care & Support. We are passionate about enabling people to maintain their independence for as long as possible and we have several care and support service that help to do just that. This includes Domiciliary Care at Henffordd Gardens, Reablement services across Herefordshire and Mobile Responders. As this work is undertaken in our customers’ homes, we look for friendly and approachable individuals who treat others with respect.

Health and Wellbeing. We are a pioneering provider of Total Wellbeing Services across the four counties - Herefordshire, Worcestershire, Shropshire and Gloucestershire. Alot of our Wellbeing services are community based meaning that our colleagues are out and about supporting individuals and their familes with their Health and Wellbeing concerns. Typical jobs include Bridge Builders, Community Connectors, Alcohol Support Workers and Domestic Abuse Support Workers.
