We are looking for a Community Recovery Worker to be based within our Wellbeing team in Stroud, covering Cirencester, Dursley and surrounding areas.
The role will involve:
- Assisting individuals to self-manage their resources to meet their recovery needs.
- Encouraging clients to recognise and manage factors that affect their mental well-being and physical health
- Pro-actively contributing to continuously improving access for social inclusion in the community
We work with a person centered approach to ensure we meet the needs of the individual and to maintain the individual’s independence.
A key part of the role is also undertaking strength based assessments to establish client aspirations for wellbeing and recovery, and having the ability to be part of the rota system for the triage of clients to meet targets of assessment.
The successful candidate will have previous experience of working in challenging conditions with individuals who may be vulnerable, have a flexible approach to team working as well as having the ability to travel to locations countywide. A full driving licence and use of a vehicle is essential.
