We are looking for a Peer Development Worker to be based within our Wellbeing team in Stroud, covering Cirencester, Dursley and surrounding areas.
The role will involve:
- Supporting the development and delivery of a range of peer support sessions and activities within the district.
- Supporting the development of activities that promote better management of mental health recovery
- Liaising directly with the district well-being team and other community and mental health services
We work with a person centered approach to ensure we meet the needs of the individual and to maintain the individual’s independence.
Undertaking strength based assessments to establish client aspirations for wellbeing and recovery will also be a key part of the role, as will the ability to be part of the rota system for the triage of clients to meet targets of assessment.
The successful candidate will have previous experience of working in challenging conditions with individuals who may be vulnerable, have a flexible approach to team working as well as having the ability to travel to locations countywide. A full driving licence and use of a vehicle is essential.
